We have eliminated that “claustrophobic” feeling found in most wetsuits, by developing a low cut neckline that is both comfortable and watertight. Testing of competitor products established that unfinished or raw edge necklines, while comfortable did not provide the longevity expected for triathletes and swimmers.
Fast swimming counts for nothing if you’re stuck in T1. The addition of a 2mm panel inserted into the lower leg, dramatically improves transition speed.
Yamamoto has been the worlds leading manufacturer of neoprene since 1961. Yamamoto neoprene is derived from limestone, unlike most neoprenes that are petroleum based. The resulting cell structure absorbs dramatically less water, offers superior insulation and unparalleled mobility in the swim stroke.
The main body panels utilise 3mm Yamamoto, which provides warmth to the body and improves a swimmers overall body position by providing enhanced buoyancy.
Key movement areas such as the arms, utilise 2mm neoprene, ensuring a relaxed swim stroke, which helps minimise fatigue.
- Put on your tri suit or chosen race gear. Covering skin reduces friction, making it easier to slide into your wetsuit.
- Use a small plastic bag to place over your feet and hands. Simply put the bag over your foot and slide through your foot, then simply remove bag. Repeat
- Try on when you are dry and in a cool place. Avoid trying on when you are sweaty or wet as this increases friction and makes achieving a perfect fit much harder.
- Use thin gloves and pull suit between your finger pads. Pull material up a few cm up at time, never rush it's not a race. Never use your fingernails; high performances suits can be easily damaged.
- Rinse in fresh water after every swim.
- Avoid drying your suit in direct sunlight.
- Soft fold when storing and avoid using a coat hanger on your suit. Extended storage on a coat hanger will result in damage to your suits shoulders.

Bugger me I had no clue.
After weeks of reading reviews I settled on purchasing V1 Wetsuit.
I am 170cm tall and weigh 65kg and bought the Large.
Fit was perfect.
Last weekend I swam at Lake Leschenaultia and this wetsuit kept me warm. As I've never worn a wetsuit I found it a little unusual to swim in, with practise I will adapt.
Easy to put my wetsuit on and take off as well.
Really looking forward to March 2025 to compete with this wetsuit on.

I bought the V1 Triathlon wetsuit as the first wetsuit I've ever had. I ordered the Medium because I was within the specified range of statistics but it was too small so I exchanged it for the Large. This one fits perfectly, like a glove and just feels like a second skin. The material is very soft, the zip works really well and it's comfortable and easy to put on. I don't feel any restriction of my movement when swimming, just more bouyancy and a slightly different body position (legs higher) which I will get used to. I am delighted with it and on my first swim (this morning) I swam around the buoy in the bay for the first time, because I was not worried about being affected by the cold. Anthony at Volare was very friendly and helpful, but I did strike a week when no-one answered the phone and that unfortunately was when I was needing advice about sizing and probably resulted in me buying the wrong size. But the exchange went smoothly, though it was quite slow (probably the post) and I had to pay the return postage myself. But I couldn't be happier with the wetsuit. The quality and design are excellent and it also looks nice!
First dive into the water and sealed in the warmth in my V1! Love the feel of it in the water AND being able to fully lengthen my arms (didn't realise how restricted I was in my other wetsuit) Looking forward to my winter swims!
